“Happiness consists in getting enough sleep. Just that, nothing more.”
As soon as I read this quote I knew I had to make use of it! I whole-heartedly agree: Sleep can equal happiness. I know I love my sleep!
Ever have an issue, problem, or decision that seems impossibly big and overwhelming? Usually if I can put off the decision til I get some rest, I can deal with it better. When I wake up, the situation doesn’t seem as unsolvable or as huge as it might have to begin with. I also tend to be in a better frame of mind emotionally (not as mad, upset, sad, or overwhelmed as I initially was). The expression to “sleep on it” certainly seems like advice to be heeded.
Of course, a sufficient amount of sleep is also tied with weight loss and eating habits along with generally enhancing your mood, feel rested and more alert in the mornings. (something I could definitely use)
How is this leading up to WIWW? (I promise I had a point when I began!) I was able to get in bed earlier last night! Yippee!!(have I mentioned I love my sleep) So, upon waking this morning, my eyes did not feel like they would rather stay glued shut and I did not wander back to the couch to sit for “five more minutes” before getting ready for work. By no means was I chipper, wide-awake, and ready to get the day going. I was, however, able to get some neurons firing to be able to put a little extra thought into my wardrobe selection this morning.
